blurry brilliance

House key, paintbrush, coconut milk and honey in my coffee,

hand made wallet, vanilla mint chapstick,

ruler, watercolours, incense, crystals, wood panels sealed with beeswax and gold glitter,

avocado toast breakfast remnants,

stickered journals, warm maple syrup sunlight, tiger lilies in a jar, national geographics,

snake plant.

It’s all in there.

Long weekend, Pushing Daisies, jet lagged, pleasure in the wanting,

not just in the having.

Painful wonder. It’s blurry and it’s brilliant.

Things left unsaid, too much honesty, vulnerability hangover, messy Saturdays spent mostly on the phone with companies who don’t care whether we exist or not. Dreaming out loud, making lists, lighting candles, heating up leftovers, reading scripts, rereading scripts.

Getting brave enough to say the ideas out loud.
